We're here...

Well, we made it to Africa!  After a two pretty long flights - we made it into Jinja late last night around 11:45pm.  It was exhausting, but we're happy to finally be here!  Promise to keep you all updated more in the next couple of days.  Until then... here is a quick pic from the airport in Atlanta.

Off on a Jet Plane...

Well my friends, our team will be on a jet plane TOMORROW and headed to Uganda!  

We're all so excited and greatly appreciate each of you for your love, support and prayers!  Please continue to lift our team up as we travel and share the gospel with our friends in Uganda!  Please also pray for those we will leave behind. Most all will be leaving behind our children, and some our spouses!  So please keep all of us in your prayers!

And remember to check back HERE each day for updates and pictures!  We plan to keep you all up to date as we're away!

Come with Us!

I wish I could bring you to Uganda with us, even for just a day so you could see what it's like. I would love so much for you to fall in love with this country that has stolen our hearts. 

I would show you the beauty and power of God's creation in Lake Victoria and the rest of the Nile and in the lush, green landscape of the country.

I would take you to the Source internet cafe and buy you a Fanta in a glass bottle and tell you about all the memories I have in this place. 

I would introduce you to some of the warmest, most grateful and most hospitable people you could ever meet. 

Our hearts would be broken together for the injustice in the world. And we would give thanks together too...for all we have been blessed with and for all the ways God is at work in the world and in our hearts. 

Sadly, we cannot physically take you along on this trip with us. (Although, we never know what God has planned for the future. Next time...)

But we would like very much for you to stay in touch with us and experience this trip with us as much as possible.

We are also in need of some prayer partners to labor with us while we are gone. We would like to have someone scheduled to pray specifically for us each day of our trip. Obviously, we would love for you to pray for us every day, but we also would like to have a prayer warrior assigned for more intentional, focused prayer each day. If you would be willing to join our team in this way, shoot me an email at rachel@voices4thevoiceless.org. I will set you up for your day and send you some specific guidelines.

So, as we get ready for this adventure the Lord has laid before us, please make plans to be a part. We'd love to have you along for the ride!
