Day 1 in Uganda

Well my friends, our team is back home after a beautiful 10 days in Uganda!  What an amazing journey we all experienced together!  The Lord did some amazing things through us and we all feel blessed to have experienced this together!  We have so much to share through pictures and stories!  But for today, I wanted to share Day 1 in pictures!

We woke up early on Friday morning after a very long flight and then drive into Jinja late the night before.  We were exhausted but ready to begin!  We started the day off with breakfast and donation sorting!  It was a great way to ease into the day.  It was encouraging to see all of the donations that so many had graciously given!  What a huge blessing each and every item was!

Rachel and Jonathan putting together the bouncy seats donated.

Soon after, we made our way to exchange money and head to Sangaalo Babies!  Brantley and Richard already knew Damalie well and were excited to reunite with her and the babies!  The rest of the team got to met her for the 1st time this trip!  It was a wonderful time for everyone!

The team meeting the babies....

Brantley meeting Grace for the 1st time!  She was welcomed into Sangaalo just after our last visit in March of 2012.  Damalie named her after Brantley & Richard's little girl, Katherine Grace.  So special!

Soon after arriving, one of our team members, Steven (who is a nurse), began checking on some of the babies who were sick.  We were so thankful to have Steven apart of our team!
{We have more stories to tell soon on how the Lord used Steven at Sangaalo!}

Baby Jackie... the newest member of Sangaalo Babies!

The babies loved the bouncy seats and jump-a-roos that were donated!

We were so thankful to have Kari {Healing Faith} with us most of the week!  She also got to meet the babies, along with her daughter, Hadlee!  Here they are with baby Nicole!

LOVE.

What an amazing first day in country!  Again, we have so many stories to tell, even from this day!  We promise to fill you in soon on all of the ways the Lord used us!

Many thanks... Voices 4 the Voiceless Team
